Our Mission

To help first responders increase performance, prevent injury, optimize recovery and have a long healthy career with the help of nutrition.

Our Goal

At Alitree Nutrition, our goal is to provide nutrition knowledge and practical skills for first responders throughout their careers and motivate them to invest in good nutrition practices that transform their demanding lifestyles with sustainable healthy habits.

Together, we design a unique and realistic nutrition plan for each first responder and his/her station.

Our Belief

We believe in integrative nutrition, where we not only take eating healthier into account, but also sleep quality, stress level, personal relationship, physical activity, and alcohol/caffeine intake. All of those aspects are important to a happy and healthy life.

ABOUT ME

Xinyue Harkless, RD

Hi, I am Xinyue, you can also call me Alice. I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for making the word “nutrition” into a lifestyle. Many people believe that nutrition = diet, and diet = restriction. I, myself, also felt this way for many years. However, eating healthy and living healthy should never be a burden in your life. After years of dieting and going on the wrong road, I have learned that nutrition is not only about food. It is also about wellness, I have finally reached a point where I feel happy, healthy, and balanced through integrative nutrition.

Throughout the years, being around first responders, I have seen that so many firefighters and first responders struggle to obtain a healthy lifestyle due to their schedules. This has motivated me to work in this area. I love the unpredictable situations and always love a challenge.

I am not a person to sit in front of a desk for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I am always down for station visits and ride-along in order to have a further understanding of a first responder's lifestyle.

I am currently accepting station nutrition service and individual counseling sessions. Feel free to reach me at alitreenutrition@gmail.com
